A rare and original Oban sized triptych by Toyohara Kunichika. Printed on April 7 1885. Beautifully detailed with excellent colour registration it is also in excellent condition.

A Kabuki play depicting famous actor Ichikawa Sadanji at right. Sadanji plays Togashi Zaemon. Other famous actors are Ichikawa Danjuro at centre playing the role of Musashibo Benkei. Nakamura Fukusuke is left and he plays the role of Minamoto no Yshitsune.

This item is Framed to Museum Conservation Standard. Print tipped to acid free foam core backing and mat by rice paper hinges upper corners and wheatflour starch adhesive and True Vue 99% Anti UV Glass.
